1. Make sure your plug sockets are turned off and that you have two free, one for the TV and one for the PS3. The sockets need to be turned off to avoid any unwanted electric shocks.
2. Take the PS3 out of the box making sure you have all the required components, you should have:
Power supply
Controller
PS3 Console (Duh)
Phono connector (3 Coloureed plugs) Red/White/Yellow
And a game if you intend to play

3. You can set up the PS3 in any order you want but the way i prefer to do it is to start with the power supply. Firstly before you plug anything in check the wires for any splits or areas which have not been covered with plastic to again avoid any unwanted shocks.
4. Once you have checked the wires begin by plugging the power cable into the PS3, there is only one socket it can fit in so im sure it won't take you long to figure it out.

5. After that plug the other end of the power cable (the plug) into the wall socket again ensuring it's switched off.
6. The next part is to plug in the phono connector this is what enables your sound and video. Begin by plugging it into the back of the PS3, again there is only one socket it fits in.

7. Plug the 3 coloured sockets into the TV. They are colour labeled so shouldnt be to hard to figure out. The socket is usually on the front of the TV or in the back panel.
8. You are almost ready to go, you can now plug the controller in or if you have a wireless one then move onto the next step. To plug in the controller use the sockets on the front of the PS3.
9. You are ready to start playing. It's now safe to turn on the wall sockets.
10. Turn on the TV and PS3 using the heat sensor power button, if this doesnt work ensure the switch on the back of the PS3 is also turned on.
11. To tune in your TV use the AV button to scroll through output channels and find your game screen.
12. You can then put your game in and using the up/down arrows and the X button select it from the main menu to begin playing.
